A Life and Death Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member has been charged following a fight near Coonabarabran.
Police say four members of the Life and Death gang were at a Mendooran hotel on Bandulla St on Saturday night just after 11 o’clock, when a fight broke out.
A 41-year-old man, who is not a member of the gang, was allegedly stabbed during the fight and sustained wounds to his abdomen and chest.
Police and ambulance paramedics were called to the scene before the victim was taken to Dubbo hospital in a stable condition.
Police say all four gangmembers fled the scene in a white van before officers arrived.
Strike Force Whitechurch was set up by police from Mudgee Local Area Command with assistance from the Gang Squad’s Strike Force Raptor and Orana Local Area Command to investigate.
Inquiries led police to Merrygoen where they raided a home and allegedly found a small calibre five-shot pistol, knuckle dusters, a small amount of cash, a knife and a white van.
Four men were arrested at the home and taken to Coonabarabran Police Station.
One man has since been charged with weapons and drug offences and has been granted conditional bail to front Coonabarabran Local Court on October 25.
Three other men have been released pending investigations.
