THE victim of an accident at Kentucky on Sunday afternoon has been named.
Uralla woman Amanda Basnett, 44, was crushed between a truck and a loading ramp on her partner's Kentucky property about 3pm on Sunday. (August 4)
Tamworth police Detective Senior Constable Craig Dunn said the accident happened while Ms Basnett was helping to load cattle onto the truck.
"Whilst attempting to load cattle onto the truck ... there was an incident with one of the beasts which resulted in the truck going forward," Detective Senior Constable Dunn said.
"She went to close the door at the back of the truck and he (the driver) has rolled backwards onto the ramp."
Detective Senior Constable Dunn said the investigation into the death was continuing, with several more statements still to be taken.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
