THE Oxley Community Transport Service will move into its new home after the long-awaited $150,000 extension of the Tamworth Community Centre was opened yesterday.
The work on the heritage-listed building was completed this week using funding provided by Home and Community Care.
The extensions have been planned for some years, but needed to gain approval by the NSW Heritage Council.
The extensions will house the offices of three community transport staff.
The service also has four bus drivers and 130 volunteers.
Community transport staff will move into the new offices within the next few weeks.
