A TAMWORTH family has thanked the local community after their son was found safe and well.
Benjamin Kay, 14, went missing from his home last Wednesday before a social media and news blitz was launched to find him.
Tamworth police say he was found safe and well at a South Tamworth home on Saturday morning.
Mother Melissa Tucker said she couldn’t say “thank you” enough to everyone who kept an eye out for her son.
“Thank you to everyone out there that helped us look for Benjamin and for everyone’s kind wishes, thoughts and prayers,” Ms Tucker posted on The Leader’s Facebook page.
“It’s wonderful to see how many wonderful, beautiful people are still around. We showed Ben all your comments and shares after we got home from the hospital tonight and he cried.
“He sends a big thank you and cuddle to each and every one of you and is sorry he worried everyone.”
Tamworth police have also thanked the public for their help with the search.
