More than 3000 people from 44 congregations descended on the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre from last Friday to yesterday to take part in the event.
Tamworth has hosted the convention since 1999, with the exception of 2003 when an international convention meant delegates who would normally head to Tamworth travelled to Sydney instead.
It is for the same reason Tamworth will miss out on hosting duties next year, but convention spokesman Aaron Mahboub was quick to point out they’d be back in 2015.
He said this year’s convention, which focused on the theme “God’s work is truth”, was a resounding success.
“Everything has gone really well. Everyone has reported on how they have enjoyed Tamworth as a town, the restaurants and motels – it’s very easy to get around,” he said.
