A total of 24 plaques have been been unveiled on the Tamworth Regional Olympian Honour Wall in Tamworth in a ceremony which paid tribute to the Olympic ideals of 15 games representatives.

The ceremonial accolade for the city's homegrown Olympic athletes brought 12 of the 15 athletes together for the presentation.
The wall is in the forecourt of the Tamworth Regional Council headquarters in Peel St and honours champions in athletics, hockey, basketball and wheelchair basketball, swimming, water polo, skeet shooting, softball and winter Olympics bobsleigh.
They are Melbourne long-jumper Mike Moroney, Kim Small, Michael York, Matthew Smith, Kate Jenner and Jeremy Davy for hockey, water polo players Craig Miller and Nathan Thomas, skeet shooting brothers Clive and George Barton, basketball coach Patrick Hunt, Paralympic basketballer Adrian King, Paralympic swimmer Nicole Davey, softballer Stacey Porter and bobsledder Duncan Harvey.
