HE HAS been at the helm for a while now,
but yesterday Brad Hansen was formally named the new general manager of
Tamworth hospital.
Mr Hansen has served as acting general manager for two years and will now take up the position permanently.
“Brad has been managing the hospital for the past couple of years and shown he’s committed to leading the hospital staff and services to create better patient experiences,” Hunter New England Health director of acute networks Todd McEwan said.
“There are significant future challenges the hospital will face in coming years, including the large-scale redevelopment.
“Brad has the dedication to lead the hospital through a significant period of change so we can deliver excellent new facilities to meet the future needs of our patients.”
Mr Hansen said he was “delighted” with his appointment.
“Our staff, volunteers and community have started the exciting journey towards the redevelopment of our health service and I’m pleased I’ll be in the general manager’s job when it’s time to see the plans go from paper to reality,” Mr Hansen said.
“In a very short period of time we will have a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Tamworth, and just as importantly, a contemporary facility that supports the whole region.”
