In fact, he’s the best of the best in the karaoke stakes, according to judges.
Scott hit the right notes in Tamworth when he took out the Regional NSW Karaoke World Competition.
Belting out INXS’ New Sensation and Robbie Williams’ Rock DJ, it was enough to win over the judges, who were impressed with his presentation, energy and vocal skills.
But the news still hasn’t sunk in just yet for Scott.
“I’m a bit overwhelmed by it all, really,” Scott said.

He’s been hanging around the pub karaoke scene for more than 20 years but now Scott will be packing his bags later this year, bound for Tweed Heads and the National Karaoke Titles.

“It’s a bit of fun, really,” Scott said.
“I just dance and throw myself around and it’s pretty high-
energy. I get right into it.”
Local karaoke finals were held across the region to choose the finalists.
Scott took out the Inverell title at the Empire Hotel before
progressing to the next stage at
Tamworth.
Up against some stiff competition from 18 singers, Scott got the points to be crowned the regional winner.

“There’s just so many songs, and there’s so much new music that’s out there now,” he said.
“I’m not sure which songs I’ll perform, maybe one of the same.”
