The workers of NSW are about to face the most drastic times in their lives. Mr O’Farrell has just made sure that the people who are struggling to survive on the workers’ compensation payments now, will suffer even more, not only the injured party but his or her family also.
Will the wealthy suffer, will the politician suffer? No, life is set for them and that is why there is little to no concern for what the Premier is doing, because he has the best of everything.
I have spoken to people who are directly affected by this change and have seen the tears and gut- wrenching worry.
I wonder if Barry or any of his Brains Trust have fronted the human side of the changes?
I wonder if Barry could show the same concern he is obviously showing towards the insurance companies, to the families of NSW. What will be left for the families to do other than apply for the dole? So no problem solved, either the dole or a invalid pension. So guess what, the state is still paying.
Then there are going to be the so- called experts telling people that they are not sick and to get back to work.Unless you have money in this state, you have no voice.
Barry is forcing the worker to turn back the clock decades, when a person suffered a traumatic incident at work, they would be told to suck it in and get over it.
After years of study by the experts it was discovered that all these types of solutions did was make the
situation worse.
So they changed the way to treat people, encouraging counselling and treatment. This treatment can go on for years and now the government has changed the rules. Does the Premier really think the insurance companies will allow this?
Nothing now will stop more and more benefits being taken from the worker. Well done!
