OXLEY High School won yesterday's Errea Cup State CHS Boys' Football Knockout regional final in Tamworth yesterday with a 5-1 win over Gunnedah High and heads to Armidale today for a regional final of the Bill Turner Cup State CHS Boys' Under 15 Knockout.

Oxley plays Duval High from 12.30pm today in that Bill Turner Cup regional final with some of yesterday's open side backing up.
"Dave Ifield and Matt Hollingworth are in the Bill Turner Cup side," Oxley Open and Under 15 coach Wayne May said yesterday.
"They played well today and are part of the Bill Turner Cup side. It's a young side too and they've done exceptionally well to get this far and make a final. Duval will be a strong side."
Yesterday Gunnedah came east with the bare 11, said Gunnedah High coach Shelley Small.
"We were a bit short today," Small said.
"We had no subs but the boys played really well. The first half was great, unfortunately just lacked a few players."
Nick Altman scored a late consolation goal for Gunnedah and was one of their best along with goakleeper Brad Sandercock and Benjy Porter.
"Benjy only just started playing this year and is doing well," Small said.
May was content with his side's dominant display. "I was a bit disappointed we let them in to score that late goal," he said of a side which led 1-nil at half-time thanks to a Dylan May strike.
The red-headed utility player, son of the coach, added two more in the second half while tall centre back Josh Rogers climbed well to head in the side's second goal. Keanue Moore also scored from a crisp drive on the edge of the penalty box.
"The ground was pretty ordinary though," May said.
"It was very bouncy, looks like someone has let the cattle in on here. It's a disgrace actually, the council should be ashamed of it ? and it was just starting to come good too."
May said the experience some of his players such as Dylan May, Keanue Moore, Travis Beard, Cameron Skewes and Dom Sevil have had from NIF Premier League matches has been invaluable.
"Plus we've got a few playing in NIF rep teams as well," he said.
"That's good for the school too. The last 10 years I've been coaching these sides we've won it (Regional Final) probably eight or nine times."
He said Oxley's open side now plays a Sydney side, in Tamworth, in its next round of the Errea Cup.
