LONGYARD Hotel employee Holly Schultz was in the spirit of St Patrick’s Day yesterday, to be sure.
Local pubs, including the Longyard, celebrated by serving up green beers – especially Guinness, the famous Irish stout – and putting on entertainment.
The March 17 celebration is traditionally the religious feast day of St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and is Ireland’s national day.
In Australia it has become a celebration of all things Irish.
