THE Great Cask Room, known as the set of The Farmer Wants A Wife, was host to select country music artists, industry and a few lucky fans for the CMC Awards on Friday night.
Hope Estate in Pokolbin is the scene of CMC Rocks the Hunter this weekend, which sees some of the biggest country music names in the US, Canada and Australia together in the same venue.
To kick off festivities, CMC recognised artists who had been voted the best by fans.
McAlister Kemp won CMC Australian Video of the Year, The McClymonts won CMC Oz Artist of the Year, Keith Urban won CMC International Artist of the Year and International Video of the Year.
The Legarde Twins were presented with the CMC Lifetime Achievement Award.
The festival continues today with Newcastle's Bob Corbett, McAlister Kemp, ARIA winner Buddy Goode, US artist Chris Young and US country stars Big and Rich will headline the main stage tonight.
