A TRAILBIKE and a car were destroyed by deliberately lit fires overnight on Wednesday in two separate incidents.
Police said the burnt out trailbike was one of two stolen from a Dewhurst St home in West Tamworth around 2am on Thursday.
Police said the occupants of the home reported hearing the side gate open and the offenders then made off with a Suzuki 250cc and Yamaha 450cc from the rear yard.
The Suzuki was later recovered just two streets away in Kenny Dr by police patrolling the area but the Yamaha bike was found ablaze in front of a Green St home just an hour later.
The night before a Holden Astra was stolen from a Hallsville residence at about 6pm.
Just half-an-hour later firefighters were called to Upper Moore Creek Rd to reports of a vehicle on fire.
Police confirmed it was the Astra stolen from the Hallsville property.
Police are investigating both incidents and asking anyone with any information to contact Tamworth Police Station.
