A PIZZA delivery driver was terrorised and robbed by a group wearing masks and bearing sticks in West Tamworth on Sunday night.
Oxley Local Area Command police said the male delivery driver was attempting to deliver an order to an address in Bourne St at 9.45pm when he was allegedly approached by a group of young males at the address.
The group threatened the driver with sticks and pieces of wood before demanding the man’s money. The group also took the pizza from the car before they fled. The driver was unharmed in the incident.
Police have released descriptions of two of the offenders.
One is described as being 1.52m tall with a dark complexion and at the time was wearing a grey top with a blue hoodie tied around his waist and his face covered by a net.
Another man is described as being about 1.8m tall with a light complexion and was wearing dark shorts and a dark long-sleeved top, with his face covered by a mask at the time.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing.
