PEEL Valley Team Penning has a number of members off to the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
2012 Team Penning Australia National titleholders, Suellen Pye, Kellie Porter and Fred Munro will be hoping to add to their success when they compete in the Team Yarding Challenge and in the Association Challenge.
The club will also have a second team competing. It consists of Ron Grant, Wayne Douglas and Peter Purcell.
Team Penning Australia accredited judge Richard Greig has also been appointed as a judge for the event.
“PVTP & TPA are very proud to have such a good representation from our associations at such a prestige event,” PVTP secretary Debby Stocks said.
“Team Penning and Arena Sorting is a sport that is growing and fast becoming a very competitive and a popular horse sport.”
“Now in the Tamworth area you are able to attend an event three times a month, and also travel to TPA affiliate meeting if riders cannot make to a meeting in Tamworth.”
The TPA will be hosting the 2013 Team Penning and Arena Sorting Nationals Finals in Tamworth at AELEC later this year. Before that there is plenty of team penning going on.
Peel Valley Team Penning has an event day next Sunday.
It will be held at Koobah Indoor Arena Spains Lane with a 9am start.
