The New England Highway was shut at East Tamworth following an oil spil.
THE New England Highway near East Tamworth was closed this afternoon to enable NSW Fire and Rescue crews to clean up a diesel spill.
The spill was caused after a mobile lighting system fell from the back of a truck about 3.40pm.
Booms were put in place to contain the diesel while the clean up was taking place.
