Thieves have stolen a car and then broken into a Calala home belonging to the car’s owner in a double stroke of bad luck on Monday.
THIEVES have stolen a car and then broken into a Calala home belonging to the car’s owner in a double stroke of bad luck on Monday.
A white Toyota Prado was stolen from White St between 8.40am and 11am and after reporting it to police, the owner came home to find their house had been broken into in the afternoon.
Police said the owner had misplaced the house keys but the thieves forced entry into the home anyway, stealing an amount of jewellery and electrical equipment.
Forensics attended the home to take fingerprints and Tamworth police are investigating the incident.
Police are asking anyone with any information regarding the thefts to contact Tamworth Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
