Driver injures leg in crash near Hallsville

A 30-YEAR-OLD man injured his right leg and was hospitalised after an accident early yesterday morning.

About 5.30am the driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, was travelling along Appleby Ln, Hallsville, when the vehicle hit a tree.

He injured his right leg and was trapped for a short time before he was released by ambulance rescue.

The Tamworth man was taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition, but was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital yesterday for surgery.

He had a blood sample taken and inquiries into the accident continue.
