Roads remain closed across New England North West

FLOODING has played havoc with many roads across the New England and North West.

As of yesterday afternoon, the Carnarvon Highway between Garah and Mungindi remained closed due to flooding.

The Gwydir Highway between Grafton and Glen Innes was also closed, due to a landslip and flooding.

In Gunnedah Shire, the Kamilaroi Highway was open with caution due to water over the road at Watermark Crossing, as were Pine Cliff Rd, Pound Hill Rd, Bulunbulun Rd and The Dip Rd.

Goscombe Rd, Clifton Rd, Courts Ln, Trinkey Forest Rd, Mooki River Rd and Long Point Rd were closed due to flooding.

In the Narrabri Shire, Killarney Gap Rd was open with caution; Homestead Rd, Gallathera Ln and Tarlee Rd were open with extreme caution; while Grain Valley Rd was closed at Cox’s Creek Bridge, Millie Rd was closed at Waterloo Creek, Bald Hill Rd was closed, The Clump Rd was closed at Bulldog Creek and Middle Gully Rd was closed at Gallathera Creek.

Last Friday night, the Newell Highway was closed between Moree and Boggabilla.
