Bypassing the states is definitely the go

The idea of bypassing the states for hospital health is being applauded by advocates.

It should also be done for disability and for public education. Middle men like the state governments and service providers hoover up and mismanage funds, reducing those available to frontline consumers.

Those of us who lobbied for the federal government to grow the public education pie have been frustrated that cuts by the state government have kept key areas underfunded.

Bring on this change! Perhaps “national” parks could even become national in fact, and saved thereby from tin-pot rednecks lording it over the state government.
