Calrossy fights back to pip Farrer

CALROSSY began its Ron George Trophy Twenty20 season with a thrilling final-over win against Farrer 1s at Dick Edwards Oval in Tamworth on Monday evening.

Chasing Farrer’s 117, Calrossy finished 6-118 in the final over, with leg-spinning allrounder Will Burke unbeaten on 24.

“They came together when we were 3-13 and under pressure,”  Veitch said.

“They put on 47 for the fourth wicket. Then Will steered us home.”
