TAMWORTH police caught a heavily intoxicated man red-handed after he tripped silent alarms while breaking into a West Tamworth hotel.
Shortly after 4am yesterday, police were alerted to alarms at the Gunnedah Rd licensed premises, arriving to find a 35-year-old male inside with alcohol from the premises in his hands.
Police searched the man and found a small amount of cannabis.
He was arrested and charged with break-and enter, stealing and possessing a prohibited drug.
