In the 12 months since their crowning, they’ve been busy juggling normal life and royal duties.

Dimity, a scientific officer at Douglas Hanly Moir Pathology, and Shae, a home loans specialist at the National Australia Bank, have been involved in countless civic duties and enjoyed a trip to the Gore music festival and roles on some local committees, including the council’s sister city committee. 

“We have been pretty busy all year, we went to Gore in New Zealand for their festival and as a part of the sister city program, Hats off to Country and Seniors Week, we both had our profiles and photos taken for International Women’s Day and I also helped with the lighting of the Christmas tree here in Tamworth and went for a ride with Santa in the truck handing out lollies to the kids,” Dimity said.

“We also helped out with the Life Education fundraiser ball, Relay for Life and attended all the Tamworth business and junior chamber of commerce events,” Shae said. 

Dimity, 26, said in the lead up to the crowning of Tamworth’s new country music royals tomorrow night, the list of responsibilities and commitments had done anything but slow down. 

Today  the day begins early with an appearance in mayor Col Murray’s vehicle in the annual cavalcade and continues with duties in town before the Country Music Awards at TRECC tonight. 

The pair’s reign will officially end tomorrow night at a gala dinner in the town hall where the new Queen and Princess will be crowned.
