The Walcha Golden Gate started last Thursday and finalised Sunday.
The campdrafters had most of this week to recharge their batteries before starting the ABCRA National Finals Campdraft at 7am on Friday.
Two big days will be staged.
ABCRA officials believe many of Australia’s best competitors took part in the Walcha Golden Gate.
“Competition was at an all- time high,” the ABCRA’s Fiona Tranter said.
In the Encouragement, Molly Lebrocq rode Rumour for a score of 90 to win the event and Brooke Morris who rode Destiny Lethal Hand was second on 89 points.
In the Junior, Annabelle Green rode Ally for a score of 85 to run first.
Not far behind with a score of 83 was Lane Clarke and Kendal Mactavish to take home equal second place.
The Juvenile saw Wyatt Young equal with Angus Mactavish to win the event after scoring a well-deserved 89 points.
In third place on 87 was Joshua Barber and his horse Pep.
Fiona Jamieson was a step ahead of the rest after she rode Binnia Impressive Destiny to win the Ladies Campdraft.
Sally Clarke rode Style to take home second place and Kathy De Jong took home third.
In the Maiden A, Terry Smith was the winner after two good rounds aboard Treasured Acres.
Pete Stevenson was second on Idaho.
Warwick Lawrence won the Maiden B on Double Sure and Ted Fogarty was second on Rock Star Babe.
Cliff Lyon on Ugly Betty won the Novice A and Ben Hall was second.
Al Sullivan won the Novice B on Cactus and Bruce McNaughton was second on Lil Acres.
The Open for Open saw well-known Troy Palmer equal with Pat Smyth to win the event.
Mark Palmer on Special took home second place.
Bruce McNaughton came out on top in the Open after scoring a total of 269 on Gold Dust.
Warwick Lawrence and William Tapp both scored 267 to equal for second place.
