THE New England Rural Crime Unit is investigating the theft of 20 hereford heifers from a property near Armidale.
The stock are believed to have been stolen from the property Rockvale, north-east of Armidale, between the end of October and the end of December.
The cattle were among a mob of 63 heifers in a paddock on the property, are valued at $15,000 and were in calf at the time of the theft.
The missing cattle are branded with a pitchfork symbol on their rumps and have a half-moon ear mark symbol on the bottom of their nearside ears.
The offside ears have an NLIS tag, PIC number NG020135.
Any person who may have seen a suspicious person or vehicles in the Rockvale area about the time of the thefts is asked to contact police.
