A FIRE started by a lightning strike 6km west of Guyra during Saturday afternoon’s storm only took an hour to put out, a New England Rural Fire Service spokeswoman said.
“It was very small: it didn’t take the guys long to put it out,” New England RFS community safety officer Renee Dell said.
The storm also started two other small fires – one at Balala, 20km west of Uralla, and one at Kingstown.
