About 8.15am, police travelling along the Newell Highway north of Moree attempted to stop a vehicle.
Officers activated lights and sirens, but the car continued south along the highway and allegedly reached speeds up to 30km/h above the sign-posted 110km/h limit.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle with the deployment of road spikes on the outskirts of Moree but were unsuccessful.
The pursuit continued south into Moree until it stopped on Anne St due to damage to the front tyres.
The woman, a 52-year-old from Mallaganee who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrested. Police expect to charge her with a number of offences.
