Some of the lucky ones who excel will win a trip to Japan with a Northern NSW side while others will cement berths in NNSW Under 12 and 13 representative teams for national titles later in the year.
That means the young players will be just as intense as their NNSW Football coaches.
NNSWF technical director David Smith is coordinating the camp which includes young players from all four Centres Of Excellence Of Football – Far North Coast, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Northern Inland.
“We have about 100 in total here until Thursday,” Smith said.
“It helps us pick an Under 12 side to go to Japan and start selections for the Under 13s for the nationals.
“It’s very promising, the first time we’re able to get them together.”
The camp is all about “skills acquisition” for all the junior players.
