Snags weren’t the only things cooked

THE sausages weren’t the only things cooking at the Australian Country Music Foundation’s fundraising barbecue on Saturday.

“We were nearly cooking ourselves,” volunteer Colleen Bannister said.

“We think the heat kept people inside, but we sold quite a few sausages.”

All the ACMF volunteers helped during the day, with the assistance of artists including Bruce O’Hara, Wendy Wood, Malcolm and Janet Galagher and John Brand.

“It was just too hot,” Mrs Bannister said.

“Cooler weather would have helped.”

Tonight and tomorrow night you can enjoy cooler weather and hot music when the artists converge on the Hall of Fame in Brisbane St, Tamworth for the Country in the Courtyard.

It will be inside and plenty of artists have planned to attend.
