A 25-YEAR-OLD female suffered severe head lacerations after her car rolled at Gunnedah on Friday.
Gunnedah police, paramedics, NSW Fire and Rescue and SES were called to the scene of the one-vehicle accident on the Kamilaroi Highway, 14km south of Gunnedah just after 1.30pm.
Initial reports suggested the woman was trapped and bleeding heavily, but she was released from the car after a short period of time.
Police diverted southbound traffic for about an hour The the woman was taken to Gunnedah hospital.
