ENTRANTS in the 2013 Queen of Country Music Quest had a sneak preview of their queenly duties at the Frog and Toad Function Centre on Wednesday night.
John Hyde from ABC New England North West gave the 22 entrants tips on dealing with the media, while mentors Melinda McDonald, Karen Bliss-Cook and Catherine Smith delivered a workshop on public speaking and general deportment.
2013 Queen Quest co-ordinator Alyson King said she was impressed with the quality of the entrants in this year’s competition.
“They’re a good bunch of girls, and from very diverse backgrounds. We’ve got businesswomen, mums and farmers as entrants,” Ms King said.
“The judges will have a very hard time deciding on the winners.”
Today the entrants will travel to Nundle for their last orientation, before they receive their official uniforms next Friday at a public ceremony.
