Welcome to SportsDay live for Friday, January 11. It's not quite tennis, tennis and tennis today as there is cricket, too. Today's blog will be an abbreviated version before we hand over to 'Sonny' Phil Mitchell who will cover off the one-day clash between the Channel Nine XI and Sri Lanka at the MCG.
We will also have a list, everyone loves lists, and today's attempt to masquerade blatant use of YouTube clips is the 10 best one-day innings by Australians against Sri Lanka.
Today's back page of Herald sport features a Chloe Saltau story on Australia's stand-in skipper George Bailey defending his team against criticism from Channel Nine after the TV network was bemused by the omission of Michael Hussey and the resting of David Warner.
Channel Whine screams the headline. Nice work from the subs (or maybe it was my boss, I had better find out).
Also Dom Bossi covers off Bernard Tomic's giant-killing run at the Sydney International.
Cycling: Not everyone is happy with Lance Armstrong's decision to be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. No, really. More critics line-up to take potshots at the victimised champ.
