The Parramatta Eels are back at the end of January for their 2013 pre-season training camp and so is “An evening with the Eels’ dinner”, a unique opportunity to dine and chat to Parramatta Eels players in a relaxed and friendly environment.
UNE will host the community dinner on Thursday, January 31 at Armidale Ex-Services Club.
The night kicks off at 6pm with canapes and drinks served on arrival and guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the Parramatta Eels players, followed by a sit down meal, SportUNE chief executive officer David Schmude said.
“It is not often many of us experience being at the same dinner table as sporting elite and for NRL fans it doesn’t get much better than this,” Schmude said of a dinner which was a sell-out last year.
“Last year the players thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the support shown by the Armidale community was fantastic.”
Eels coach Ricky Stuart will attend the dinner, with former Eels captain and Kiwi international Nathan Cayless emcee for the evening.
There will be a Q & A session with key Parramatta Eels players, giveaways during the evening and of course plenty of opportunities to mix with your favourite players.
Proceeds from the evening will go towards UNE Sporting Scholarships and to assist with the continued development of the Bellevue Sporting Precinct.
Tickets are on sale now for tables of 10 at $650 or individually at $65 per head and can be purchased online at www.une.edu.au or by phone (6773 3856).
