“We certainly get a lot of kids and youth through the skate park throughout January, being school holidays and summer,” youth services coordinator Steve Blanch said.

“They mostly come through in the mornings when it’s cooler rather than in the middle-of-the-day heat.”

While yesterday’s park was all about having fun on two wheels, things will get more competitive later this month when The Youthie holds a special park competition for skaters, and scooter and BMX freestyle riders on Friday, January 18 at 6pm.
