Shortly after 10pm on New Year's Eve, Police were called following reports a woman was lying on the roadway unconscious.
Officers from Barwon Local Area Command and NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended the scene, and found the woman with severe head injuries.
The 43-year-old woman was treated at Narrabri Hospital before being airlifted to Sydney in a critical condition. She died on Wednesday.
About 2.50pm yesterday police arrested a man in Warialda.
The 41-year-old Narrabri man was refused bail to appear at Moree Bail Court later today where he will face the charge of dangerous driving occasioning death.
