According to a report in the national media on December 28 more than $100 milion will be slashed.
The cost of specialist healthcare will soar for millions of Australians from January 1 under cost-cutting changes to the federal government’s beleaguered telehealth scheme. Doctors will have to mothball millions of dollars’ worth of new computer equipment because of the government cutting funding to the already troubled telehealth scheme.
