THREE people remained in custody last night after a police raid at Westdale found a large amount of drugs, cash and stolen goods.
Fifteen Oxley Local Area Command police and a dog unit converged on two properties, one in Nowland Dr and the other in Wylie Pl just before 1pm yesterday.
A 21-year-old woman, a 28-year-old man and a 44-year-old man will appear in Tamworth Local Court this morning. The three were arrested at the homes and taken to Tamworth Police Station where they were charged with multiple offences, including supplying a prohibited drug.
Cannabis and amphetamines, in what police classified as a "supply quantity", were seized along with $19,000 in cash.
Also retrieved from the properties was a large quantity of stolen property including mobile phones, clothing and fencing supplies. Police also said they located parts of a firearm which they seized.
The drug raid and seizures have been described as "significant" by Oxley Local Area Command crime manager Phil O'Reilly.
At a media conference at Tamworth Police Station yesterday, Inspector O'Reilly said:?"Police will allege the amount of drugs seized was an indictable amount."
