He is also expected to announce funding that will help the shed’s members to put some finishing touches to the project.
The Tamworth Men’s Shed is nearing completion and is expected to be in operation early in the new year.
It’s being developed in the grounds of the Botanical Gardens in North Tamworth.
The chairman of the Men’s Shed Committee, the Reverend Chris Wright, says the exact date of the opening will depend on when the finishing touches are completed and that should be revealed during Mr Windsor’s inspection on Friday, when he announces a grant from the Department of Family Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.
The Men’s Shed is designed to bring together men of all ages to share skills, swap ideas, solve problems and create new friendships.
Members will be able to use the shed for a variety of woodworking and other hobby activities and it should be fully equipped with woodworking tools.
