THREE people charged with being part of an alleged drug syndicate will appear in Tamworth Local Court again on January 30 after their matter was adjourned on Wednesday.

Sisters 22-year-old Meg Richmond and 24-year-old Kaya Richmond were arrested on October 17 at a home in Illoura St, South Tamworth.

Police allege the pair and an unrelated man, 26-year-old Nicholas Dobson, who was charged on the same day at a home in Werris Creek, were involved in the supply of more than 14.5kg of cannabis worth an estimated $250,000.

Meg Richmond was charged with supplying cannabis, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime and participation in a criminal group.

Kaya Richmond is facing charges of supplying cannabis, supplying cocaine, supplying MDMA, dealing with the proceeds of crime, participating in a criminal group and possession of steroids.

Dobson was arrested in Henry St, Werris Creek, and charged with supplying cannabis, supplying MDMA, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, participating in a criminal group and breach of bail.

As part of the case against the group, it is understood police will also allege they seized 2.7kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of $500,000, a small quantity of steroids and $16,900 in cash after raiding the homes in Illoura St and Henry St early in October.

It is understood all three remain in custody and have not entered pleas.
