Tamworth driver had fake licence

A 29-YEAR-OLD man will appear before Tamworth Court in December charged with possessing a fraudulent licence.

On Wednesday at 2am Tamworth police stopped a vehicle in Taminda for a random breath test.

The male driver produced an Indian driver’s licence.

After a number of inquiries, the licence was shown to have been fraudulently made in India and sent to Australia.

The man has been charged with driving without a licence, fraudulently using a licence and possessing an article like a licence.

He will appear at Tamworth Court on December 17.
