On Wednesday at 2am Tamworth police stopped a vehicle in Taminda for a random breath test.
The male driver produced an Indian driver’s licence.
After a number of inquiries, the licence was shown to have been fraudulently made in India and sent to Australia.
The man has been charged with driving without a licence, fraudulently using a licence and possessing an article like a licence.
He will appear at Tamworth Court on December 17.
