TAMWORTH streets are ablaze with a colourful vista of purple as jacaranda trees take flower across the district.
Popular for their bright colour, their blooms come out for just a few weeks at the end of spring and cover driveways, lawns and cars with a carpet of purple.
Former Tamworth girl Erin Handley was out snapping the trees around her East Tamworth home when The Leader caught up with her on Tuesday night.
