RAINFALLS at the weekend were the region's best in months, according to Weather Channel chief meteorologist Dick Whitaker.
The weather aficionado said Tamworth got 21mm, which was the best rainfall in nearly four months, with 33mm in mid-July.
The storm at Bingara produced falls of 44mm in some parts, with the town receiving a lot less.
"There have been much heavier falls in between the official network," Mr Whitaker said.
He said there wasn't another large storm on the horizon for the region, with no chance this week.
"Things have quietened down. Once this unstable air leaves, that will be it for the next week at least," he said.
