Twenty-nine workers were recognised for their outstanding service in industries as diverse as nursing, property management and transport at the Combined Rotary Clubs of Tamworth Pride of Workmanship Awards.
Each awardee was nominated by their employer for consideration in recognition of their dedication to their job.
All nominees were officially recognised at a ceremony at the West Tamworth Bowling Club last night, with Rotary representatives from across Tamworth gathering to congratulate award recipients.
Chairman of the awards, Raymond McLaren said he was once again astounded at the calibre of nominations. "We are extremely impressed with the quality of the nominees, it's quite amazing the bar just seems to get raised higher and higher each year," Mr McLaren said.
"We find every year the quality of the nominees is so high, it just speaks volumes for the level of professionalism in businesses around Tamworth."
While the awards are not judged competitively, each Tamworth Rotary club selects a candidate who they feel has shown particular dedication and professionalism in their field.
This year's five special award recipients were Peter Barnier from Sigma Aerospace, Rowena Baldwin from Tamworth Strata Management, Terry Skewes from The Northern Daily Leader, Kate Sullivan from Priority Home Loans and Kerry Carr from Tamex Transport.
