Frustrated and out of pocket, the Tamworth Cafe owner has vowed to remain open despite the Wednesday night theft of $650 in cash, cigarettes and confectionery.
It is the fourth theft from the cafe since Mr Vanderkley took over ownership earlier this year and it has left him seething.
"I'm just about jack of it," Mr Vanderkley said. "This is an ongoing thing.
"It's frustrating to turn up to work and find that your cafe has been broken into overnight.
"Not to mention when you find that a significant amount of cash has been taken along with a large portion of your stock."
Opportunistic thieves targeted the cafe earlier this year on at least three separate occasions, taking off with a number of charity collection tins kept on the counter for customers to donate their loose change.
Thieves are believed to have broken in through a back window between 8pm on Wednesday and 8.30am yesterday.
They may have been disturbed by a passerby in Peel St and fled through a rear door. Fingerprints have been taken from the scene.
But Mr Vanderkley said while the break-in had angered him he was willing to tough it out and hoped this was the last such
incident.
He urged anyone who might have seen anyone inside the shop during the time of the break-in to contact Tamworth police.
