The twins, who are currently in Year 7 at Abbotsleigh in Sydney, have caught the eyes of State selectors and have been invited to attend the Talented Athlete Pro-gram Camp at Narrabeen, along with Tamworth's Emily Staunton, later this month.
That selection was the icing on the cake for
a season, which has
seen the Boags collect Independent Girls School Sports Association and State (IGSSA) championship honours.
Their Abbotsleigh side won the IGSSA Junior As competition, defeating Loretto in the final.
"We were about 10-15 [points] away from them," Christina said.
The girls also played for the Hornsby Spiders in the State league, winning the U14s state title with a two-point extra-time win over the Illawarra Hawks.
"Carly put the winning shot up," Christina said.
"We came first out of NSW and we just recently went to Canberra for the Nationals and came sixth out of 20," Carly said.
While they spend a majority of their time in Sydney, the pair haven't forgotten their Tamworth roots and are very thankful for the efforts of coaches Neil Gaffney and Troy Jeffriess in helping them get where they are.
Meanwhile, this weekend, a strong contingent of Tamworth juniors will be vying for berths in the NSW Country Tours to be held in January next year.
The U14, U16 and U18 boys and girls representatives are heading to various coastal areas to contest for spots in the Australian Junior Coun-try Cup at Albury, while the U15 and U17 boys are at Maitland and
the U15 and U17 girls
