"We'll go into the match with no preconceived ideas," Quirindi bowler Les Knight said.
"We never play them, but that's a good thing because we'll just play the game that suits us and not worry about certain
individuals."
Quirindi drew more than match fitness from its last-round win over Pilliga at Narrabri.
"The Pilliga blokes played Gilgandra last year in what was the corresponding match to this one," Knight said.
"After our last win, Pilliga told us that Gilgandra only had one class batsman to worry about, but that was a year ago so a lot could have changed."
No matter the ability of their Central Western opponents, Quirindi is a formidable lineup.
Opening bowlers Gavin Slater and Graham Green have rattled many top-order batsmen.
Up-and-coming all-rounder, vice-captain Matt Friedwald, and spin bowler David McVicar are also in form.
Knight said the current Quirindi side had been two years in the making.
"We chose a policy of youth over experience last year, blooding players like Friedwald and McVicar for the future," he said.
In local grade cricket, Friedwald captains Wallabadah while Quirindi's captain Saunders is also the captain of Werris Creek.
Saunders is renowned as one of the biggest pinch hitters around.
The 50-over match will be played on Number 1 Oval from 10am.
QUIRINDI XI: Craig Worpel, Graham Green, Matt Friedwald (v-c), Gavin Slater, Brendan Matthews, Chris Saunders (c), Matt Scrace, David McVicar, Brad King, Les Knight, Matt Ryan, Andy Cohen.
