MANY of Tamworth City Swimming Club members will be hoping to repeat their performances of last weekend at Manilla and Quirindi when their own club hosts the Shell Age Championship at the city pool tomorrow.

The club has received a total of 950 entries from swimmers representing a wide area in its annual carnival from 1pm.
Prior to the kick-off to the carnival will be the Shell Age events from 9am to 11am.
Highlights of the day will be the Dash for Cash and the mixed all-age relay to wind up the day’s competition.
Ten club members travelled to Manilla last Saturday for its annual carnival, then on Sunday, the club was represented by 25 swimmers at the Quirindi carnival.
All 10 swimmers gained placings at Manilla. They include Farrah Othman (freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke), Tim Howle (breaststroke and freestyle, both PBs), Morgan McCulloch (butterfly), Caitlin McCulloch (butterfly, freestyle, IM and breaststroke), Craig Falkenmire (butterfly, breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke), Alex Falkenmire (butterfly), Rebecca Crosby (butterfly), Sarah Crosby (butterfly and backstroke). Shayne Falkenmire registered PBs in all her events, while Rhys McCulloch swam well.
At Quirindi, the club was represented by Richard Burke, Henry Leslie, Alex Turner, Lara McKenzie, Chloe Sipple, Angus Leslie, Sam Brown, Ryan Betts, Jason Searle, Alice Brown, Joshua Magann, Heidi Bock, Kayla Fisher, Nicole Magann, Andrew Burke, Gillian Burke, Michael Burke, Amber McKenzie, Alisha Betts and Kyle Searle.
Gaining wins were Richard Burke (6) with an impressive 11sec PB in the 25m breaststroke, Lara McKenzie (8) in the 50m breaststroke and butterfly, Chloe Sipple (8) in the 50m breaststroke, Angus Leslie (9) in the 50m freestyle (PB), breaststroke (PB), butterfly and backstroke, Jason Searle (10) in the 50m breaststroke (PB), Heidi Bock (13) in the 50m freestyle and breaststroke, Kayla Fisher (13) in the 50m backstroke and butterfly, Gillian Burke (14) in the 50m backstroke, Michael Burke (15) excelled to win all four 50m events and the Dash for Cash, Amber McKenzie (15) won her 50m butterfly, while Alicia Betts took out her 15yr 50m backstroke and breaststroke.
All the other swimmers registered placings.
Tamworth City teams won the 8yr, 10yr and 14 and Under relays and were second in the open relay.
