ONLY the gullible couldn’t be at least slightly cynical about pollies and their perks.
It’s the only time the two sides of politics agree on anything.
How conveniently Marxist it is on the part of both camps; normally they’d be at each other’s throats, tearing shreds off each other at every opportunity, but, no, not with the wretched lurks and perks.
All of them have their greasy snouts in the filthy trough of taxpayers’ money and they rarely come up for air.
Federal politicians should be happy with what they’re already getting. The audaciously-greedy list of claims made by both Labor and Coalition MPs is so cocky and elitist it’s almost a joke.
I say to all you federal MPs, the electorate isn’t here to get you a new job after your retirement from
politics.
Nor are we here to give you an aristocratic lifestyle for the nights you spend in Canberra, on the taxpayers’ watch, mind you.
The Parliamentary Entitlements Review Committee should chuck the six-page submission from our insatiable MPs straight in the wastepaper basket where it belongs.
