I wholeheartedly agree with the letter from J Carey in The Leader on Tuesday, September 17.
Let’s keep the people’s park.
I think it would be a disgrace to destroy the area, which has been created for the people of Tamworth and district, and to the memories that the area represents.
If something has to be done, then the council may wish to put its energy into keeping the area clean and the water in the fountains clean.
Leave the area as is, without destroying memorials and areas created for peace and quiet.
