SPECIALIST police divers yesterday combed through damns on properties on Gowrie Rd in an attempt to find clues into Duri grazier Jeffrey Ryan’s murder.
The divers, understood to be from Sydney, have spent the past two days searching dams in the area, including Mr Ryan’s Gowrie Rd property Callemondah, where a neighbour found him dead from a gunshot wound two weeks ago.
Tamworth police yesterday renewed their appeal to the public for information into Mr Ryan’s death.
Oxley Local Area Command Inspector Phil O’Reilly told The Leader the divers had been searching for any evidence that could assist police in their investigation.
The search has come a week after Mr Ryan’s mother Marie Ryan and son Ben, 24, gave an emotional plea to the public for information into his death.
Mr Ryan, a father of four, has been described by his son as having “the biggest heart ever”.
His funeral service was held in Casino, his home town, on Wednesday afternoon.
If you have any information on Mr Ryan’s death or have seen any suspicious activity on Gowrie Rd, please contact Tamworth Police on 6768 2999.
